How to fix “550 5.7.9 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated. Yahoo requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM” error message if you use Google Workspace.
Are you using Google Workspace and are getting the error message “550 5.7.9 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated. Yahoo requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM.” when sending to aol.com or yahoo.com emails?
Here is how to fix this.
Step 1) You need to go to the DNS records for your website domain. Depending on where you host your domain this could be in GoDaddy, Wix, Google Workspace or wherever you originally purchased your domain name.
Step 2) Once you are in your DNS records you need to add a new text record. There should be a button somewhere in your DNS admin panel that says “Add Record” click this and then select TYPE TXT.
If you only send email from Google Workspace, enter this SPF record:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
This should fix yahoo.com and aol.com send issues for most DNS domains using Google Workspace.
If this does not fix the send issues for Aol.com or Yahoo.com emails delivering you may need to follow the advanced solution: If you use additional email senders, enter the SPF record you create from in these basic setup instructions or in these advanced setup instructions.
Step 3) Some DNS records take up to an hour to propagate. However, if you would like to manually check if they have propagated across the internet click here for DNS lookup tool , select drop down TXT records and type your domain and you should see the “v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all” record when it is live.
These three steps should help most Google Workspace owners fix the “550 5.7.9 This mail has been blocked because the sender is unauthenticated. Yahoo requires all senders to authenticate with either SPF or DKIM” error message they are receiving from sending to aol.com and yahoo.com emails.
We hope this helps!
